Free Pussy Riot picket line was attacked

14.03.2012 17:03

Feminist punk group Pussy Riot was denied bail by Moscow city court today: the young women who sang punk-prayers at Christ the savior cathedral will spend another month in custody awaiting trial. The solitary pickets in their support – the only legal form of street protest in Russia that doesn't require authorization from the authorities, were attacked by provocateurs and religious fundamentalists.

Moscow city court denied Pussy Riot an appeal today and left Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina in custody until court. Several solitary pickets in their supporter were attacked by religious protesters who violently demanded full court responsibility for the art-blasphemers.
