Moscow City Court has found six skinheads guilty of assault and murder motivated by national hatred, and sentenced them to prison terms ranging from eight to 19 years reports RIA Novosti.
One additional skinhead was acquitted because the jury had earlier found insufficient evidence of guilt.
The longest prison term, 19 years in a penal colony, was given to Emelyan Nikolaev who had already been convicted of murder. The court also sentenced him to an additional probationary period of two years and a fine of five thousand rubles
Another defendant, Dmitry Sudakov, was sentenced to 14 years in prison. The other four prisoners - Vladimir Stepanov, Vladimir and Alexander Belyakov Kichutkin
The court also ruled in a civil suit in favor of one of the victims and decided to award them 140,000 rubles that were spent on treatment, and 2 million rubles in compensation for moral damages.
According to the investigation, in the period from 2009 to 2010, the defendants were Armenians who attacked and killed two men of Asian appearance, one of whom they stabbed 27 times with a knife.
