Employees of several districts in Moscow have been caught writing positive reviews and thanks to their own offices on the "Our City" web portal. Interfax reports this citing Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova.
"Modern technology allows us to locate with high precision from which computer and how often 'thank you's are written from. It can be clearly seen
When one computer user left identical comments about 3 locations on June 6, all within 20 minutes," Rakova said during a briefing with city government.
Deputy Mayor Rakova also asked the leadership "not to engage in PR activities."
"It's obvious which districts are doing this... I ask you to give this your attention. We will continue to block these remarks due to their bias," Rakova said at the briefing.
The Deputy Mayor also noted that since the opening of the "Our City" portal, there have been over 34 thousand registrations and over 15 thousand comments have been left.
For comparison, another city portal, "Dear Moscow," has received about 11 thousand hits in its 10 months of operation.
