Russian court bans "Innocence of Muslims"

On Friday the Leninskiy district court of the Chechen capital Grozny, ruled that the American movie "Innocence of Muslims" is extremist, RIA Novosti reported, citing Chechnya's National Policy Minister Murat Tagiev.
"The movie tells the story of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions in a distorted and insulting manner. Therefore, we addressed to the Leninsky district court to admit this movie extremist and that it inflames sectarian and ethnic hatred on religious grounds. Our claim was satisfied," Tagiev said.
According to the law, if a Russian court rules material to be extremist, the ruling spreads to the whole country.
Earlier, the prosecutor's offices in different Russian cities demanded Internet providers block access to the movie, which has triggered violence and outrage all over the world.
