After a long negotiation period, Moscow mayor's office has approved the opposition "March of millions" planned for September 15, said opposition activist Sergey Udaltsov to Gazeta.ru.
The city authorities have proposed a site within the Garden ring which satisfies the opposition's demands.
The approved march will start at 2 p.m. from Pushkin square, along the boulevard ring and will end at Akademika Sakharova avenue
"In general, we are very glad. The march will take place in the center of the city, within the Garden ring, just like we wanted," Udaltsov added.
The mayor's office, however, reduced the number of people who could come to the march. Instead of 60 thousand which were requested by the orgazniers, the authorities approved only 25 thousand people.
"We are ready to pay fines for exceeding the number of protesters," Udaltsov wrote on his Twitter.
