The Red Hot Chili Peppers have signed a letter in support of the Pussy Riot punk band members, Pyotr Verzilov, the husband of one of the Pussy Riot members told Gazeta.ru.
"Nadya, Katya and Masha, we love you and we support you. We are here to help you," Verzilov cited Peppers lead Anthony Kiedis.
"I think about you all the time. I applaud your courage, I pray for your release, I will try to inform as many people as possible about what is going with you," the band's bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary wrote.
On Sunday the band held a concert in Moscow's Luzhniki stadium. Anthony Kiedis was wearing a "Pussy Riot" T-shirt. He has also performed in St. Petersburg wearing the same T-shirt.
The organizer of the St. Petersburg concert said that it was the musician's initiative to wear the T-shirt and that nobody showed it to him.
On the day of the Pepper's St. Petersburg concert, the Moscow city court prolonged the Pussy Riot members' arrest until at least till January 12, 2013.
