Civic anti-corruption project RosPil was summoned to anti-extremism Center E, writes the creator of RosPil, opposition activist Alexei Navalny in his blog.
He published scans of five "Demands to appear" that he and other RosPil employees received via mail. They say project coordinators are summoned to police headquarters on 38 Petrovka street to give explanation on March 15, to senior officer Kostryukov.
The reasons for activists summon is not listed. The RosPil lawyer was also not informed.
"They refuse to tell our lawyer the reason for this summons, and that makes our visit there completely impossible. Besides, we don't understand what "demand to appear" means. If there's a reason for subpoena – let them give it," Navalny wrote in his blog.
Rospil is a volunteer organization that searches for dubious state acquisitions, where there are signs of corruption or excessively large spending of federal money. Navalny afterwards announced that this project could collect several million rubles in donations for this project to function.
