«Experts for Rospotrebnadzor sampled the powder for study. After they have the results, they will prepare a report and address the prosecutor's office" reports Interfax news agency citing the press service.
White powder deposits fell on Auguist 16 in the Soviet district of Omsk.
Initially it was assumed that the powder may have been ashes from the local plant, but a scan by Rospotrebnadzor showed that the powder was a catalyst which was used at a Gazprom Neft-Omsk Refinery. It was also established that it was not dangerous to public health. The plant was fined 20 thousand rubles.
